Ilardi Family

Some family sessions seem to unfold perfectly; from the soft evening light, to how the kids played and interacted, to the finding the perfect location. This is how I felt photographing the Ilardi family. Last year, I got to take their pictures and life was different then with a 9 month old that wasn’t up and running yet! Part of capturing a family’s photographs is capturing where they are in the here and now; what life really looks like chasing around an 18 month old and watching a 6 year old explore the nature she is surrounded by.

It’s about connecting everyone in the moment; sharing laughs, tickles, and smiles. This is what I love to do. In those sacred and yet hectic minutes, I often think about what it would be like if I was on the other side of the camera with my family. I am often reminded that life is full of little and big stressors; I believe that getting pictures taken should not be one of those stressful moments. Thank you to the Ilardi family for just being yourselves and allowing me to capture your family!

Welcome

Welcome to my blog where I love to showcase my latest work.  As an artist and portrait historian, my goal is that each session depicts the warmth, love and light reflected in my subjects.  All sessions take place in natural light, whether it's the golden hour over the gulf or the soft glow of an early dawn, its my personal goal to find each client the best and most ideal conditions for their photographs.
